Corey Kasner

Senior Project Manager/Partner

Corey is a senior partner at REM and, along with the responsibilities of this role, oversees the drafting department within the firm. He has extensive experience in both architectural and structural design and drafting and is also very knowledgeable in National Building Code of Canada requirements necessary for completing code reviews of commercial buildings. Since receiving his Architectural Engineering Technology diploma from SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw in 1992, Corey has held positions as a senior technologist at reputable firms across Western Canada such as D.R. Estay Engineering in Prince George B.C., Cochrane Engineering in Calgary, AB and Genesis Architecture & Engineering in Saskatoon.

In 2001, Corey and his wife Dena established C&D Designs, Ltd, a home based residential/commercial drafting service company. In 2005, C & D Designs joined forces with Cliff’s original company Rempel Engineering to form REM, an all-inclusive consulting firm.

Devan Becker, BSc, P. Eng

Engineering Manager/Partner

Devan obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in spring of 2009 and received his Professional Engineering designation in the Province of Saskatchewan in 2013. He has been employed with REM since 2007 and his varied design experience with the company has allowed him to gain particular expertise in the design of steel, wood and concrete structures.

Devan is responsible for overseeing many of the commercial projects in the firm and leads the engineering department. He is also active in many of the largest commercial and industrial projects that the firm has been involved in including the Willows III, a luxury condominium at 404 Cartwright Street in Saskatoon, Golden Health Care Home in Warman as well as the renovations at Holy Cross High School, an $18 million project.

Tyler Krause, BSc, P. Eng

Structural Engineer & IT Administrator

Tyler graduated from the University of Saskatchewan Civil Engineering program in 2013. He started working with Rempel Engineering in 2011 during his second year of studies. Prior to joining REM, Tyler was employed with Steelmet Supply as a welder and fabricator and worked briefly as a general labourer with Rely-Ex Contracting in Saskatoon.

During his time with REM, Tyler has worked on many residential, commercial and industrial projects including the new Prairie Sun Brewery building on Broadway Avenue, a unique three-storey commercial building located at 303 Wellman Crescent and an incredible 14,000 square foot home located at 203 Greenbryre Crescent. In addition, Tyler provides his talent with design programming and automation and using advanced building analysis software.

Michael Mannion, BSc

Structural Designer

Mike is a recent graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the U of S where he specialized in studying structural steel and reinforced concrete design.  Following his graduation he worked with Element Industrial Solutions in Calgary, Alberta as a Project Consultant where he contracted for industrial projects in the United States. In 2016, Mike joined Rempel Engineering as a consultant performing field reviews for residential and commercial projects.  In February 2017 Mike joined the engineering department full time.

Tyler Leier, BSc, P.Eng

Structural Engineer

Tyler has been employed with REM since the summer of 2019 and completed his engineering degree in the spring of 2020 from the U of S. He brings with him several years of experience working on construction sites as a labourer and project supervisor at Rely-Ex Contracting in Saskatoon. In his time at REM, Tyler has gained expertise in commercial engineering/renovations, pre-eng steel buildings, multi-unit residential developments, office space projects for manufacturing buildings and has contributed to several notable projects including St. Paul’s Hospice, various commercial tenant fit-ups as well as custom residential designs.

Kim Miller

Technologist

Kim attended the Architectural & Building Technologies Co-operative Program at SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw, SK where she gained considerable experience while employed with Gang-Nail Trusses & Building Components, Wright Construction and TRL & Associates during her 3 co-op work terms. Kim has been employed at REM since she graduated in the spring of 2007. She has worked on many notable projects over the years including the Holy Cross High School Addition & Renovation, the Valley Christian Academy School expansion, Crossmount Village south of Saskatoon and various Co-op Food Stores throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  Kim has experience in 2D and 3D Autodesk software imaging programs and is currently trained in both AutoCAD and Revit.

Michelle French

Technologist

Michelle graduated from the Architectural & Building Technologies Program from SIAST Palliser in 2003. She worked as a Technologist with Rempel Engineering & Management from 2005 until 2010 at which point she formed her own company called All In Design, often working as an independent contractor with REM. In 2017 Michelle joined the Rempel team once again as an employee.

During her time both at REM and for All In Design, Michelle has been part of several notable projects including the General Motors dealership in Cold Lake, Alberta; the Gergthaler Church in Gruenthal, Saskatchewan and many large condominium and commercial warehouse projects. She is experienced working with both 2D and 3D software programs including AutoCAD and Revit.

Natasha Nagle

Technologist

Natasha has been with Rempel Engineering since 2015 and is a graduate of the Architectural Interior Technologies Program at SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw, SK Before she started with REM, Natasha gained valuable work experience during her co-op work terms for firms including AODBT, Final Draft and Catterall & Wright. Upon completion of her schooling, she spent time drafting for custom residential builders, Northern Sky Developments. During her time with REM, she has been involved in several residential and commercial projects including Tisdale Co-op and more recently a Hospice for the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. Natasha has experience in 2D and 3D Autodesk software imaging programs, including AutoCAD and Revit.

Dena Kasner

Finance Manager

Dena obtained her Architectural Engineering Technology diploma in 1994 from SIAST Palliser in Moose Jaw, SK. Her various positions have taken her through drafting, consultant coordination, FM program implementation, staff management and client contact person. Before joining REM in 2005, Dena worked with her husband Corey as part of C & D Designs. She has also served as a technologist at Stantec at the facility management department in Calgary before transferring to the architecture department in Saskatoon. Dena has been working as the Manager of Finance for Rempel Engineering & Management since 2006.

Melissa Tress, B. Comm.

Office Coordinator

Melissa has been employed with Rempel Engineering since 2014. Prior to joining the REM team, Melissa was a marketing student in the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. After her convocation in 2010, Melissa worked as an Administrative Assistant at A-1 Power Door where she was in charge of payroll functions for all of Western Canada.
