The Design Process

Step 1:

Initial Consultation

The first step in the process is to give us a call or an e-mail so we can discuss your specific needs and determine how we can help. For instance, if your jurisdiction requires a set of permit-ready building drawings we would put you in contact with a member of our team who will advise you further about the design process.

Step 2:

Scope Definition and Design Agreement

During this phase of the design process we will meet to gather information about project requirements, including building construction, aesthetic and budgetary requirements. Once you have decided on a route which best suits your needs and there is a mutual understanding of the project scope and timeline, we will provide you with a quote for our services.

Step 3:

Creation of Construction Documents

Our team will prepare drawings and specifications establishing the requirements necessary for building permit application. Contractors utilize the drawings as a blueprint for building construction.

Step 4:

Application for Building Permit

Step 5:

Construction Administration

We offer construction contract administration services to observe conformance to structural drawings and/or to handle day-to-day issues on site in consultation with other members of the project team as they arise.
